The Senior Director, Technology Operations is responsible for our IT operations team, which includes help desk, asset management, security, Office365, hosting administration, server administration, network administration, identity management, access management, monitoring, disaster recovery and budget management. The role includes line management of the IT staff that perform these functions and key vendors. The role also includes tech operations strategy, assurance of exceptional customer service, implementing and maintaining best-in-class processes, and managing technology operations projects.
Our company uses a partner as our managed services provider (MSP) and managed security services provider (MSSP). This role will be responsible for leading this vendor’s success implementation and ongoing operations for our company.

RESPONSIBILITES
- Oversee all IT operations including staff, vendors, assets and infrastructure.
- Build and lead a team of help desk technicians, desktop support technicians, network engineers, server engineers, hosting engineers, security administrators to provide exceptional customer service, uptime, business efficiency and security.
- Ensure the security, uptime, reliability and performance of technology solutions, including the management of non-business application SaaS vendors.
- Manage help desk solution, ensuring exceptional customer service and SLA achievement (may be insourced or outsourced).
- Architect, implement, continually upgrade and maintain cloud hosting environment for our proprietary software products in conjunction with our Product/Engineering teams.
- Establish security architecture and implement procedures and controls that ensure that data are secure and in compliance with the compliance and regulations of the business, in conjunction with Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Information Officer and Chief Security Officer.
- Create and implement IT policies and procedures that enable strong security and risk-management capabilities.
- Lead the IT Change Management board including documenting change requests for audit purposes.
- Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery within the department and in conjunction with business stakeholders.
- Ensure proper configuration, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of security firewalls, sites/software, servers, networks, data and file encryption, and internet connections.
- Explores new technologies and coordinates the selection, implementation, upgrade and validation of applications and services, in conjunction with CIO, Business Applications and Product Management.
- Interact with business functions to provide counsel, options, and solutions to their IT challenges and requirements.
- Prepare and maintain IT budget in conjunction with CIO.
- Participate in customer audits and complete vendor assessment questionnaires from a technology perspective.
- Build and maintain relationships with external advisors and vendors.
- Degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field required.
- 8 years of IT operations leadership experience.
- 5 years of experience management cloud-based software vendors.
- 5 years of experience management of networks and servers in on-site and co-lo data centers.
- Exceptional knowledge of key platforms such as MS Office 365 and Azure.
- Proof of continued education such as certifications is desirable.
- Sound working knowledge of IT operations, systems, and developments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
