What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Analyst position at Neovia Logistics?
The receiving analyst is responsible for verifying discrepancies reported on inbound shipments. The RA is responsible for providing a secondary review of the purchase order, advance shipment notice, pack slip, and physical delivery. The RA is responsible for reporting discrepancies to process partners, following SOW to resolve issues, and analyzing receiving issue data to identify trends and suggest process improvements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verifying reported issues: checking receiving issues as noted by dock to ensure the discrepancy is accurate.
- Data entry: record discrepancy details in the inventory management system, including product SKU, quantities, reason, and receiving dates.
- Resolving discrepancies: applying process guidelines and feedback from process partners for resolution on discrepancies.
- Inventory management: amending inventory levels in the system based on corrected receipts.
- Reconciliation: performing inventory checks as called out by process partners to ensure accuracy and identify potential discrepancies.
- Communication with process partners: collaborating with material planners, quality control, receiving, packing and other departments (both internal and external) to resolve receiving issues.
- Process improvement: analyzing receiving issues data to identify areas for improvement and suggesting operational changes (both internal and external).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Attention to detail: Ability to accurately identify and record information from shipping documents
- Data entry proficiency: Efficiently inputting data into inventory management systems, which includes Google Sheets and SAP
- Manage follow up: ability to keep track of open issues and seek resolution
- Basic math skills: Calculating quantities and identifying discrepancies
- Problem-solving abilities: Analyzing issues with shipments and finding solutions
- Communication skills: Effectively communicating with vendors and process partners
- Computer literacy: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (SAP and AS400 a plus), proficient in Google suites
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
- Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
