NEPC is looking for an Investment Director with a primary focus on Hedge Fund research and secondary responsibilities within GTAA and risk parity. This position sits on the Credit and Multi-Asset team, which covers hedge funds, hedge fund of funds, GTAA, risk parity, etc. The team is responsible for investment manager research and identifying investment solutions that fit the specific needs of our clients.
Job Summary:
Candidates for this position will most likely be serving in a comparable role at a plan sponsor, investment manager or consulting firm specializing in multi-asset investments (Hedge Funds, GTAA, Risk Parity, Fund of Hedge Funds, etc.). You will be responsible for the sourcing, reviewing, evaluating and analyzing of investment funds, new and ongoing research within your coverage area and serve as the primary contact for those strategies. This includes identifying, interviewing and performing due diligence (qualitative and quantitative) on new funds not on our platform, as well as existing managers. In addition, you will perform ongoing monitoring of the investment products in your strategy and prepare quarterly reports on developments in your strategy. It is expected that this individual will be involved with negotiation of investment commitments and relationships. Interaction with clients and new business presentations, as necessary.

Job Qualifications:
In depth hedge fund (direct) experience and knowledge required, along with experience with manager and fund selection. Highly developed computer skills and proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint is required. Qualified individuals must be comfortable with quantitative analysis, have outstanding writing skills and be comfortable with creating and giving professional oral presentations to colleagues and clients. Experience with FactSet RMS and TIBCO Spotfire is a plus. Must be detail oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multiple-task environment.
A college degree is required; advanced degrees and/or the CAIA® designation or CFA® designation (or progress toward these credentials) is a plus. A willingness and ability to travel is required. It is expected that this individual be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
