Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing top-notch patient care through effective triage and remote patient monitoring. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with technology, and have a passion for making a difference in the lives of patients. *Please note although this role will mostly be remote, we are seeking a candidate within a specific area around Chicago that has the ability when needed to visit our customer clinics when needed for an ideal customer experience.
Responsibilities
● Conduct initial patient triage remotely, assessing patient needs and urgency of care based upon their current and past condition, vitals (e.g. BP) etc..
● Monitor patient health data and alerts through our remote patient monitoring system.
● Communicate effectively with patients via phone, and messaging platforms, providing care instructions.
● Coordinate with healthcare providers to update patient care plans based on remote monitoring data.
● Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
● Participate in continuous education to stay updated on best practices in remote patient care and technology.
Requirements
● Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
● Proven experience in a medical assistant role, with a strong preference for experience in triage and patient monitoring.
● Comfortable using medical software and technology for remote patient care.
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey medical instructions clearly to patients.
● Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patient cases efficiently.
