What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Nephrology Associates of Central Fl?
Office is located within the Advent Health Orlando Hospital between Downtown Orlando and Winter Park.
Current FL Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant with 1 - 3 years of office experience strongly preferred.
Transplant experience is a bonus.
Basic rooming of patients, documenting vitals, medications and history into the electronic chart
Strong attention to detail
Appropriately preparing patient's electronic charts for patient appointments
Good written and verbal communication skills
Refill prescriptions electronically as directed by physicians. Obtain appropriate insurance authorizations when needed
Skilled in working directly with physicians, following through and documenting orders related to patient care and education
Ability to handle large call volume and in a fast paced work environment
Comfortable and knowledgeable on evaluating lab values
Strong ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
E-clinical and/or EPIC experience a plus
Strong organizational skills and critical thinking skills
Self motivated
Know and follow related OSHA and HIPAA standard policies
