What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Nephrology?
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work with our growing team and support with general office administrative duties as needed.
Part Time - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays
8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms at the beginning and end of each day.
- Escort patients to exam rooms take vitals, update patients health information and document accurately to EMR
- Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPPA compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certification Required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- At least two years of medical assistant experience preferred, and Electronical Medical Records
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to be sensitive with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds
- Bilingual/Spanish is a plus
