Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation is a privately owned global leader in the manufacturing of generic drug products, over-the-counter (OTC) drug products and medical devices. Nephron specializes in Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) manufacturing, a niche technology that allows a vial of medication to be formed, filled and sealed in a continuous process, in a sterile, enclosed environment and without human intervention.

As an industry leader in product safety and quality, Nephron produces a variety of inhalation solutions, and has distributed over 1 billion doses of respiratory medication per year since 2009. Nephron is currently working on research and development projects that include over 50 new products.  The company’s longstanding relationships with major drug wholesalers allow us to distribute our products to retail pharmacies, mail order pharmacies, hospitals, home care companies, and long term care facilities. Position Summary:

• To      perform in-house calibrations of equipment monitoring device affecting      product quality.
• Perform      calibrations using PLC logic 
• Repair,      troubleshoot or replace equipment, instruments or parts as needed to      perform calibrations. 
• Assists      with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required.

Primary Accountabilities:

• Calibration      of all critical instruments used in drug manufacturing facility per      established calibration test methods in accordance with in-house      calibration procedures within scheduled time frame. E.g., Temperature and      humidity controllers and chart recorders, thermocouples, humidity sensors,      pressure test gauges, pressure transducer, pH meters, pipettes,      check-weighers, oven, furnaces, temperature and data loggers,      thermometers, temperature chambers and load cells.
• Responsible      for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, calibration and      maintenance of electronic instrumentation and controls.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Technical Degree in electronics or instrumentation (2yrs) and/or equivalent experience as calibration technician in the Pharmaceutical Industry or a regulated industry.

· Knowledge of PLC logic and Controls

· Minimum 2 years calibration experience

· Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access. 

· Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
