What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler/Production Controller position at NEPTUNE PLATFORM BUYER LLC?
- Track and coordinate job orders internally and externally in order to meet customers and internal demands.
- Constant communication with our suppliers and internal departments for determining where components and subcomponents are in the manufacturing process in order to meet the scheduled due dates.
- Interaction with our vendors to ensure their on-time deliveries are met.
- Plan, analyze, and schedule the jobs orders in the facility.
- Review and monitor production schedules for the most accurate results with consideration of capacity levels, efficiency, etc.
- Maintain spreadsheets with the daily, weekly, and monthly schedules by project.
- All other duties as assigned
- Requires a minimum of 3 years of production control experience or equivalent specialized training in scheduling control.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of production control processes and procedures in a fabrication setting.
- Good problem-solving skills in general and in math
- Ability to read and speak English
- Must have basic knowledge of the metric system
- Must have working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Experience working in Microsoft Office
- Experience working in Microsoft Project preferred
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. without assistance
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (Accounting B.S. or B.A.) from four-year college or university; and/or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
