Position Summary:
As a member of the Data Governance and Analytics team, the Lead Data Steward will be responsible for
maintaining the accuracy and integrity of data within the organization and will be the go-to person for
all queries regarding data. The Lead Data Steward will work closely with the development teams, DBA,
and business stakeholders to understand data sources, destinations, elements, and usage, and will apply
knowledge of SQL, t-SQL, stored procedures, ETL/ELT, reporting, and governance solutions to
understand and implement roadmap initiatives to drive business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Delivery of Enterprise Applications:
- Understand business requirements and perform technical implementations by leveraging
knowledge of enterprise applications and technical expertise. - Working knowledge of RDBMS, data warehouse/data lake implementation methodologies and
concepts. - Understand master data management concepts.
- Establish data governance protocols, oversee data entry processes, and ensure compliance with
data management best practices. - Participate in research and recommend stable data governance methodologies.
Support of Enterprise Applications:
- Provide end user support, system maintenance/security and incident resolution to ensure stable
and resilient business operations of enterprise applications. - Ensure enhancements, changes and systems configurations are appropriately documented.
- Participate in agile team ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog
grooming, and retrospectives. - Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing
professional publications; develop personal networks, and participate in professional groups.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field of study, or equivalent
experience - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred
- MS PowerBI Data Analyst Certification, or willing to pursue
- MS SQL Server Developer Certification, or willing to pursue
Experience:
- 5 years of experience with handling data – sources, destinations, ingest, usage, data quality

- Conduct data audits and implement data cleansing activities.
- Provide training and support to enterprise data practice team and end-users.
- Monitor and report on data quality metrics and performance indicators.
- Support data migration and integration projects.
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations and policies.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed to request sensitive data like financials, sales, PII, etc.
- Understand the source and destination of enterprise data.
- Understand and document different exit points and types of data and report any misuse.
- Be the main point of contact for incident response related to data breaches.
- May be responsible for overseeing data access controls and ensuring compliance with privacy.
- Lead the data archiving, preservation, and versioning efforts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with QAD or SAP ERP
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Manufacturing knowledge is highly desirable
