Position Summary -
Seeking an Automation Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, installing, configuring, and testing equipment / devices, as well as setting up controllers, devices, and communication protocols with minimal assistance.
Primary Responsibilities -
- Install, program, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation equipment.
- Maintain and repair automation and electrical systems for upstream onshore oil and gas operations.
- Provide on-site automation support and serve as a technical resource for control systems and field instrumentation (level, pressure, flow, vibration, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with industry and corporate process control standards.
- Follow PLC programming practices, standards, and Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
- Identify and implement improvements for instrumentation and control systems.
- Utilize CMMS (SAP) for maintenance operations.
Required Qualifications -
Education : 2-year Instrumentation or Automation Technology degree (GPA 2.5 ) or equivalent technical experience with a strong safety record or a GED.
Experience : 3 years in the oil field.
