Built as a grass-roots project in 1968, this plant has undergone significant modifications and upgrades to become what it is today one of the most complex refineries in the United States.
Approximately 70 percent of the refinery’s product slate is CARB gasoline, California’s clean-burning fuel. The refinery also has significant asphalt production capabilities and produces 35 percent of the asphalt supply in northern California.
Currently, the refinery processes domestic crude from the San Joaquin Valley in California and the Alaska North Slope, along with foreign sour crudes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Review construction packages and have a full understanding of the project work scope.
- Perform a takeoff from the construction package to quantify the work scope (manhours).
- Creates detailed execution schedule, and headcount plan. Ensuring maximum utilization of contractor’s labor and equipment.
- Performs takeoffs from the construction package to prepare Material Take Offs (MTO), and order the materials.
- Submits requisitions for contractor services
- Coordinate with operations to understand how to execution the project with the least impact to the refinery.
- Performs the planning and coordination with the business team for equipment readiness.
- Creates work orders as needed to schedule Maintenance resources
- Coordinate scheduling of resources, and vendors.
- Performs job walks, reviewing progress, talking with contractors understanding problems, progress, and improvements.
- Produce project reports, schedule and cost performance.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Experience working in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Renewables industry
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
