NES Fircroft is actively seeking an entry - mid-level Lab Technician for our client, a global specialty chemicals manufacturer, at their Kings Mountain NC facilities! This position would be a full-time year long contract opportunity, with strong potential for extension or possible permanent conversion down the road.
Candidate would be responsible for sampling of testing materials in our clients lab to ensure product quality maintains at high levels, as well as maintaining and calibrating analytical equipment at the site.

Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe and clean laboratory environment, following standard operating procedures, and adhering to corporate HS&E policies
- Sampling and testing of materials : This includes collecting samples from various projects, preparing them for analyses including but not limited to ICP-OES, IC, titration, PSD, and KF to determine their composition and quality
- Collaborate with a broad technical team to meet timebound technical milestones and deliverables
- Effectively communicate characterization results to the materials characterization team
- Document experiments, observations, and results clearly in both written and electronic formats
- Responsible for complying with procedures for the handling and disposal of hazardous wastes and materials
- Responsible for ensuring that analytical equipment is properly calibrated and maintained to ensure accurate results
