What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Specialist position at NES Fircroft?
Essential Functions: A Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring that projects or products being constructed or manufactured on-site meet established quality standards by conducting on-location inspections, testing, and documenting findings, identifying potential issues, and working with project teams to implement corrective actions to maintain quality throughout the project lifecycle
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Review and acceptance of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) based on conformance to project technical specifications and lessons learned
- Provide a quality risk assessment to activities being undertaken in manufacturing and testing
- Identify product and project non-conformances, communicate through the proper channels, and coordinate with appropriate staff to quickly resolve issues in a manner that will not adversely affect the Project Schedule
- Lead Root Cause Analyses (RCAs)
- Coordinate updates to Manufacturing Control Plans and Process Failure Mode and Effective Analysis with Manufacturing Engineering
- Develop Project Budgets for manpower needs and inspection budgets
- Act as liaison between Manufacturing and Project Quality regularly visiting work sites to inspect work in progress, performing field tests as needed, preparing Project Quality Reports, ensuring the implementation of corrective and preventative measures, and providing training and awareness.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Experience required: 5 - 10 years
- Educational background: Bachelor's degree in STEM
- Relevant experience can compensate for a degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Capable to work independently and oversee and provide technical guidance and training to others
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex drawings and specifications and coordinate with multiple disciplines
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, material flow, process change, and quality processes
- Robust comprehension of complex problem-solving methodologies and data analysis
- Provide code interpretations to enhance technical quality
- Ability to work in an international culturally diverse, fast pasted, and dynamic environment

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
