Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care in outpatient care settings. This position requires a strong understanding of medical systems, physiology, and patient service, as well as the ability to perform vital tasks efficiently and accurately.

Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in outpatient environments.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories and documenting relevant information.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians or nurse practitioners.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
  • Ensure proper handling of patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Support the healthcare team in various tasks related to pain medicine.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns, answering questions, and ensuring a comfortable experience for all patients.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical systems and procedures relevant to pain management.
  • Understanding of human physiology to effectively assist in patient assessments.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
  • Ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately.
  • Familiarity with pain management protocols and practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
