Description
Under the general supervision of the DME Coordinator, the DME Inspector will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and rebuilding of various Discharge Manifold Equipment (DME). This role requires a thorough understanding of Halliburton DME standards and guidelines, ensuring all duties are carried out safely, efficiently, and effectively. The ideal candidate must hold ASNT II (or Equivalent) certifications in Visual (VT), Ultrasonic wall thickness (UT), Magnetic Particle (MT), and High-Pressure Hydrostatic Testing (PT). The candidate should have completed the required hours in each discipline (UT 40 hrs., PT 280 hrs., VT 140 hrs., MT 210 hrs.), accumulating a minimum of 520 hours in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and be deemed competent in the respective inspection criteria.
As a Level III DME Inspector, this role involves inspecting without supervision according to ASNT II (or Equivalent) standards and signing off on final QA / QC. The DME Inspector will also act as the senior inspector on location, issuing and signing final qualification certificates. Responsibilities include performing DME re-qualification inspections to meet Halliburton, customer, and government standards. The position also includes mentoring DME Techs I, II & III, as well as DME Inspectors I & II. A high level of attention to detail is crucial, along with competence in document and record control. The role requires analytical skills and the ability to ensure compliance with NDT standards.
Required
- 5 years of oilfield experience
- 5 years of experience inspecting DME to ASNT II (or Equivalent) standards, is required.
- 2 years of onsite chemical plant experience
- perform visual and nondestructive examination on stationary equipment in accordance with the API and ASME standards
- provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and / or alteration of plant equipment
- Inspector must have the ability to follow and draw isometric drawings and ability to circutize plant’s piping
- The candidate must hold current ASNT II (or Equivalent) qualifications in UT, MT, VT, and PT.
