What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at Nesco Resource, LLC?
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the painting of product/machines within the company.
Responsible for the lining/coating of product/machines within the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pass a respirator fit test.
- Responsible for selecting the appropriate scheduled job, setting up and completion using necessary documentation.
- Responsible for the preparation and painting, including touch-up of product/machines.
- Responsible for mixing paint according to specifications.
- Responsible to layout, cut and apply machine lining,.
- Responsible to mix and apply coatings (paint, primer, body filler, etc.)
- Make sure all paint and paint products are in proper containers and stored safely.
- Dispose of used paint supplies in properly marked containers.
- Responsible for identifying and bringing any non-conformities to the attention of the Plant Manager.
- Maintain a clean work area daily (work area & guns), weekly (entire area) and change the spray booth filters as needed.
- Will be cross trained in various departments, within manufacturing, and work in these areas as needed and instructed to by the Plant Manager.
- Perform in-process inspections for coverage and quality.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Wear appropriate attire (company supplied uniforms)
- Wear PPE's – safety glasses, respirators, steel toed shoes, cutting gloves, etc.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required. These are normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two (2) years experience in painting of machinery.
