General Information
CNC Laser Operator
Located in Mentor
17-$27 / hour based on previous experience.
1st shift working 6am - 2pm
Temp to Hire opportunity with the company.
Duties / Responsibilities
Operate CNC Laser cutting equipment.
Load raw material (sheet and plate steel) with the assistance of an overhead crane and / or tow motor.
Enter programs into controller and cycle the cutting sequence.
Review first part and obtain production approval from Quality department.
Review engineering drawings and blueprints.
Remove finished parts and scrap material from equipment.
Complete all required documentation.
Complete in-process inspections using various testing equipment.
Follow all safety procedures.
Complete weekly cleaning and operator-level maintenance as required.
Skills / Qualifications
Previous experience running machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience operating a CNC Laser preferred.
Sheet metal working background preferred.
Basic math and computer skills.
Able to lift 50 lbs. independently
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Will be subject to pre-employment screening.
