Reporting to the Marketing Services content team, the Content Specialist will contribute to shaping the messaging for specific digital initiatives, market-level brand activities, and service line strategies.
The role requires strong content development skills and a consultative approach to support internal stakeholders. The Content Specialist will work closely with marketing services teams, field organizations, and external agencies to transition marketing services support for a specific urgent care line of business. Collaboration with creative, traffic, social media, and email marketing teams is essential, as is the ability to manage content strategies for various service lines or market brands.

Key Responsibilities:
- Write, edit, and map out content across various channels (social media, email marketing, print, web/blogs, digital/offline advertising).
- Ensure all content aligns with brand tone and voice.
- Collaborate with creative teams to merge content with visuals/graphic design for final deliverables.
- Distribute and publish content through appropriate channels.
- Assist with creating and updating editorial calendars, utilizing marketing intelligence and insights to shape content strategies.
- Translate clinical content into consumer-friendly messaging for patient audiences.
- Establish guidelines for consumer/patient-facing content and maintain accuracy in all communications.
- Enhance content delivery processes, developing or refining review and approval workflows for better alignment and accuracy.
- 3-5 years of experience in content creation, editing, and strategy.
- Advanced writing and editing skills, with the ability to distill complex clinical topics into simple language.
- Experience developing editorial calendars and creating content for various channels.
- Proven track record of managing content across digital and offline platforms.
- Customer-service mindset, focused on helping stakeholders achieve excellence in marketing and communications.
- Experience using insights and research to engage specific audiences and measure content impact.
- Experience with web content management or digital experience platforms.
- Experience with social media management platforms.
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Background in business-to-consumer marketing, PR/journalism, or agency work.
- Familiarity with employee or corporate/internal communications.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and paid search strategies.
- Awareness of current events and health-related pop culture.
