Electrician

Job Description :

The Electrician will install, repair and maintain the electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems in buildings while ensuring work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Responsibilities :

• Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues regarding production equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
• Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
• Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
• Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
• Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Ability to support with facility maintenance issues beyond electrical duties
• Have the correct knowledge of tools and their usage.
• Ability to disassemble and assemble equipment.
• Must be certified in the operation of a pallet jack and / or fork lift.
• Understanding of machine specific lockout / tagout procedures.
• Must have a general knowledge of Hazmat policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Education :

High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent Experience is required

Associate / 2-Year Technical Degree is required

Work Experience :

A minimum of 5-7 years of electrical maintenance experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified is required.

Licenses and Certifications :

Certification / Licensure Electrical Journeyman License (EE98J); a second related Journeyman's License; or Equivalent military experience or Completion of 60 Credit Hours Electrical is required.

Forklift and Palate Jack Certification is preferred
