Nesco Resource is seeking an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST/MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR with very strong PLC Programming and Troubleshooting experience for a long-established manufacturer near the East Lansing, MI area.
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $85-95k/year bonuses
Shift: 1st shift: 6:30am - 3:00 pm

Tests will be given onsite to prove PLC and Mechanical abilities.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide hands on management of installation, preventive maintenance and repair/improvement of plant equipment
- Assure the completion of special assignments designated by maintenance manager
- Supervise maintenance technicians as direct reports, developing all through problem-solving and The EPIQ Way
- Maintain and continuously improve use of preventive maintenance program
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance service
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Assure all safety regulations are followed and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Assist in the relief of plant technical staff during absences from the plant
- Demonstrate the ability to lead and gain consensus among team members at all levels. Ability to cover for maintenance manager
- Research, design and implement new technology to improve equipment performance and quality to the customer
- Support plant/maintenance operations as required 24/7
- Other duties as assigned
Tests will be given onsite to prove PLC and Mechanical abilities.
- Strong PLC Programming and Troubleshooting skills mandatory
- Proven ability to supervise a team within a JIT (Just In Time) shop
- PLC Test required as part of interview process
- Maintenance Assessment required as part of interview process
- Ability to be flexible
- Strong decision making abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Maintain strict confidentiality, but not limited to, managing confidentiality of any proprietary business related information
