Forklift Driver

Our client has multiple needs for reliable and experienced Forklift Drivers. The Forklift Driver will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, efficient handling of products, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move materials around the warehouse or facility. This includes loading, unloading, and transporting goods to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks.
• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts by reporting discrepancies or damage to products.
• Material Handling: Load and unload goods from trucks, follow stacking procedures, and ensure products are stored in the correct locations.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including wearing proper protective equipment and adhering to OSHA regulations.
• Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage before transporting them and report any issues immediately.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions or needed repairs.
• Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork related to forklift operations, including logs and inspection reports.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Certification: Valid forklift operator certification is required.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety procedures.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in a physically demanding environment, and stand or sit for extended periods.
