Job Description
Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled Metal Finishing Technician to join our team. As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for applying coatings and finishes to metal surfaces using specialized equipment and techniques.
About the Role:
- Assist experienced painters with surface preparation, coating application, and finishing processes.
- Use solvents, abrasive blasting, and other methods to clean and prepare metal parts for coating.
- Apply localized tin plating and perform light mechanical assembly tasks as required.
- Wash, mask, and apply metal flame spray to parts and welded structures in accordance with established manufacturing instructions.
- Mark fabricated components using silk screen, stencil, or pad printing methods.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and sketches related to paint, marking, plating, and touch-up.
- Safe working practices with chemicals such as solvents, acidic, and alkaline solutions, and aqueous cleaners.
- Able to qualify and retain qualifications necessary for processes performed.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and thickness measuring equipment.
