Job Title: Production Assembler and Grinder
Shift Hours: 6am-2:30pm, overtime may extend to 3:30pm and occasional Saturdays
Candidates will be placed in positions based on qualifications, experience, and business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fitting manufactured and purchased parts together to form subassemblies or complete products
- Reading and understanding blueprints and routing to produce parts according to specifications
- Transferring cardboard cartons from pallets and placing labels on them
- Folding cardboard into cartons and transferring product onto pallets using a palletizer or the floor
- Using a manual pistol-grip tape to secure small cardboard boxes and transfer product onto pallets
- Maintaining routine cleaning and organization of the work area
- Following machine operation rules and maintaining machine guarding
- Monitoring productivity, quality, and safety reports
- Assisting supervisors with other duties as needed
Operational Responsibilities:
- Operating equipment to buff and polish metal surfaces
- Inspecting workpieces for defects and removing any faulty pieces
- Grinding metal workpieces to precise specifications using polishing and grinding equipment
- Finishing products by hand using hand tools to ensure high-quality finishes
- Performing basic maintenance and repairs, including lubrication, cleaning, and part replacement
