Nesco Resource is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our client’s team! You'll play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and compliant work environment. You will design, implement, and manage comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs to ensure our operations meet all regulatory standards while promoting a culture of safety.
Shift : Monday – Friday 2pm-10pm
Position Type : Contract to hire
Location : Anderson, SC
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations by developing, updating, and maintaining policies and procedures.
- Deliver safety training programs, including emergency preparedness and compliance requirements, while identifying and mitigating workplace risks.
- Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes, recommend corrective measures, and analyze safety data to inform decisions and stakeholder reports.
- Perform routine site inspections and audits to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement emergency response strategies tailored to workplace scenarios.
- Oversee waste management practices to ensure proper disposal methods meet regulatory standards.
