What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Nesco Resource?
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with UPS Ground services and operating a stand-up forklift and Cherry Picker. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. You will play a key role in supporting the efficient flow of goods in our warehouse and ensuring that all shipments are handled with care.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare, process, and verify UPS Ground shipments, ensuring accurate labeling, documentation, and tracking information.
- Operate a stand-up forklift to move products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload packages from UPS Ground delivery trucks.
- Maintain inventory control, ensuring products are properly stored, labeled, and tracked in the warehouse.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Verify shipping addresses, package contents, and quantity before dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating equipment.
- Prepare and maintain shipping records, including tracking numbers, shipment dates, and delivery confirmations.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in the inspection and reporting of damaged goods or discrepancies in shipments.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding shipping and safety protocols.
