POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dining Playbook Strategist is responsible for day to day and season-long content initiatives for both social media and television programming for Dining Playbook’s new show, Meet Boston with Billy and Jenny. This role will be responsible for assisting with the launch of the show, as well as the launch campaigns and maintenance of the show on a day-to-day basis
This role will take the lead with creative aspects of the show, including researching new ideas for segments and posting for Dining Playbook digital platforms. This position will use creative writing and thinking to bring fresh ideas to life through a multitude of platforms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the launch and execution of Meet Boston with Billy and Jenny alongside the Dining Playbook Sales and Marketing Manager
- Create and execute the launch campaign/marketing campaign for Meet Boston with Billy and Jenny at the beginning of the show and throughout the year.
- Partner with Dining Playbook Sales & Marketing Manager to ensure proper production and execution of elements for both the television program and social media.
- Work with videographers/editors to create storyboards for segments and continue to work with them throughout the shooting/editing process.
- Create a social media calendar for Dining Playbook platforms using a mix of new content created by the Strategist, as well as repurposed content for the show.
- Ideate and shoot social media content for Dining Playbook platforms that is relevant, thoughtful, and entertaining
- Use creative writing skills to create publications for our digital platforms, including the Dining Playbook website, YouTube page, and newsletter
- Partner with Dining Playbook Sales & Marketing Manager to help identify new opportunities for sponsorships within the show and social media
- Ensure execution of production needs for clients in a timely manner
- Report analytics from social media and linear media for clients when needed
- Review scripts, show rundowns, social media copy, and any other production materials to ensure successful final product
- Complete other related tasks and projects as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of related experience in production, marketing, digital media, or public relations
- Experience with creative writing and copywriting strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of digital media and sponsorship coordination is strongly preferred
- Proficient with MS Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; proven ability to learn and apply new software applications quickly.
- Strong research skills, and interest in keeping a pulse in the food and hospitality space
- Superb organizations and multi-tasking skills and ability to successful prioritize
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication skills
- Must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in team environment; good ability to work in a fast-paced, loosely structured, growing and changing work environment
- Must have a high level of professionalism, pleasant demeanor, and positive attitude.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some nights, weekends, and holidays
