What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Assistant Content Producer position at NESN LTD?
Reporting to NESN’s Social Media Manager, the Seasonal Assistant Content Producer is responsible for the proper execution of all NESN.com and social media sponsorship elements, organic and in-game-related content. This person will partner with the sales, digital editorial, social media and digital video teams to ensure the creation and delivery of all sold or sponsored elements including social posts, video segments and native article content. This position will also be asked to backfill organic social media and Short Form Producers on occasion.
Please note: This is a 40 hour/week seasonal position estimated to end sometime in Mid-June.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record, clip, edit and post videos for sponsored segments to NESN’s digital and social platforms.
- Verify all elements are executed as outlined in client contracts and campaigns.
- Ensure content meets NESN’s standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
- Craft/caption and schedule and/or deliver social media messages that meet clients’ needs and stay on brand.
- Record, clip, edit and post non-sponsored, game-related content for Bruins and Red Sox games, including 3:00 game highlight recaps, pregame and postgame sound and player interviews.
- Successfully record, edit, and publish other video content and/or projects as needed using the Adobe Premiere Suite
- Participate in developing, implementing and maintaining an efficient workflow and best practices to effectively engage a consumer audience, properly integrate technology and product, cross-promotion and site accuracy
- Apply metadata to all video content for use on NESN.com and our syndication partners
- Produce and execute live streams of select game-related content
- Demonstrate expertise in relevant concepts and processes with technical/software tools
- Proven knowledge of and demonstrated use of Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other social media platforms
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop a plus
- Must have good writing skills, including spelling and grammar
Qualifications:
- BA or BS, preferably in a communications or technical discipline
- 1 years of experience in video production, social media in a professional setting preferred
- Ability to work around team/game schedules: Predominantly evening hours, weekends and some holidays
- Detailed understanding of non-linear video editing and blog software (such as WordPress) preferred
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Suite software preferred
- Proven knowledge of and demonstrated use of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and other social media platforms
- Must have good writing skills, including spelling and grammar
- Knowledge of New England and national sports preferred
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and produce creative, high-quality work on tight deadlines
- Must possess strong communication, organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to be highly organized, have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
