We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join us for the Summer 2025 semester! This is a great opportunity for current college students looking to gain experience in a fast-paced work environment learning from our experienced team.
Reporting directly to the Sr. Marketing Manager, this intern will assist with marketing strategy and execution for the network. This role is best fit for someone who is a self-starter and enjoys marrying creativity and data to make effective decisions.
This is a part time position averaging 20-24 hours per week.

NESN (New England Sports Network) is owned by Fenway Sports Group, which also owns the Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Penguins among other holdings, and Delaware North, owners of the Boston Bruins. NESN is delivered throughout the six-state New England region and nationally as NESN National. The definitive source for New England sports programming, NESN consistently has been one of the top-rated regional sports networks in the country, with a reputation for innovative and award-winning production of sports events and specials.
As of Fall 2023, NESN manages SportsNet Pittsburgh, a newly branded regional sports network that televises Pittsburgh Penguins and Pirates games, as well as local college sports, original content and more in PA, WV, and portions of MD, OH and NY.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Draft promotional copy for TV and digital activations
- Assist with execution of sales promotions, contests, and sweepstakes
- Support with marketing and PR research and campaign tracking
- Compile and track data in Microsoft Excel and evaluate trends to make recommendations
- Monitor performance marketing trends and support ad-hoc campaign initiatives
- Develop and recommend micro-marketing plans for various programming initiatives
- Ideate and execute social media marketing concepts
- Assist the Customer Care lead on drafting and responding to fan inquiries
- Assist the Sales, Marketing, and Digital departments in planning, scheduling, and executing client and fan events
- Successfully completes other related assignments and tasks as needed
- Must be currently enrolled as a student in a college or university
- Marketing, Communications, Sports Management or other related major is preferred
- Marketing/Advertising and sports knowledge
- Ability to be in the office 5 days a week
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Self-starter
- Flexibility to travel
