We are seeking an experienced cloud data architect to design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions using modern cloud technologies. Candidates must command a deep understanding of financial products, services, market dynamics and the regulatory landscape within the financial services and insurance industry.
The role will focus on proposal development, pre-sales activity and revenue growth but is also likely to have a post-sales / oversight component upon winning a new client opportunity.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Understand complex client requirements, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to propose scalable and secure technical solutions. Identify adjacencies or value added services, partnerships or accelerators that can be applied to an opportunity to make it more compelling or competitive.
- Be able to research and understand market needs, emerging technologies, common architectural patterns or emerging regulation quickly and articulate appropriate solutions to drive best practices or digital transformation. Identify revenue opportunities and support business development with proposals, proof-of-concepts and client presentations.
- Develop data architecture strategies for analytics and AI-driven insights. Lead AI / ML / GenAI initiatives for predictive analytics, automation, and intelligent decision-making. Implement GenAI driven solutions for process optimization, customer engagement, and fraud detection.
- Required Skills & Experience :
- 10 years of Solution Architecture experience within Financial Services including work in the data domain at an organization like S&P, Bloomberg, LSEG Data / Analytics (Refinitiv)
- 5 years of expertise of modern architecture, including API, microservices, streaming and devops on multiple Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with cloud-native data warehousing and analytics platforms, Data Governance, Security and Compliance. Strong knowledge of AI / ML and Gen AI.
- Proven ability to influence technical teams and stakeholders.
- Preferred Skills & Experience :
- Experience within Capital Markets or Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance.
- Likely experience in Fraud, AML, KYC, Customer360 or with AI-driven Insights.
- Exposure to GDPR, PCI-DSS or SOX
- Relevant cloud data platform or architecture certifications
