Job Title: Leasing Agent
Report to: Operation Manager
Job Summary: We are looking for a capable Leasing Agent to present and lease properties to prospective lessors. The goal is to scout potential clients, turn them into actual ones and achieve high occupancy rates.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Present properties and provided amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants
- Act as a landlord for property owners and help them navigate the property market
- Advertise vacant properties using a variety of media and promoting materials
- Determine the needs, living standards and economic viability of prospective tenants
- Confirm rental application data and personal references
- Stay knowledgeable of the property market status
- Provide information on call aspects of properties (expansion, zoning, crime etc.)
- Negotiate leasing terms and conditions and close deals
- Endure proper maintenance and inspect properties periodically
- Answer and transfer a high-volume of incoming phone calls
- Prepare outgoing mail, distributes incoming mail
- Enter work orders into AppFolio and follow up, as necessary
- Enters rent payments into AppFolio
- Maintains confidentiality of information
- Assigning guest cards

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Persuasive with marking and sales skills

- Up to date with property market status
- Proven working experience as Leasing Agent
- Working knowledge of real estate laws and leasing practices-Preferred
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent-Required
- At least one-year related experience-Required
- Previous experience with AppFolio-Preferred
- At least three-years of customer service experience-Required
Physical Requirements:
- Must frequently be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
- Required periods of walking and standing
- Prolonged periods of sitting
Licensure/Certifications:
- Driver's license-Required
- Real Estate License-Preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
