Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Product and Process Lead. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on a medium complexity innovation and renovation portfolio, as well as optimization/improvement projects. These projects include single recipe development, line extension, small recipe renovation, and low CAPEX requirements. As the subject matter expert for product and process, you will represent our Technical Services Group. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to our factories, ensuring seamless implementation and success. Additionally, there may be opportunities for you to take on the role of a technical lead when required. Collaboration is at the heart of our organization, and you will actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to establish and foster relationships. Key Responsibilities:

I&R Projects including Productivity & Consumer Complaints/Strategy and Execution:
- Participate in I2L project teams to contribute to product design and process capability decisions
- Lead factory/project planning discussions to assess risks, utilize Opportunity/Risk mindset, manage changes, review trial requests, and schedule necessary resources.
- Lead factory discussion on current project status and to assist the plant functions in completion of required functional I2L process activities
- Provide Operations insight in discussions on changes affecting the plant processes on assigned projects
- Demonstrate trial and product qualification leadership
- Technical project manager when PM is not assigned leading smaller cross functional teams of <10 people typically at 1 or 2 physical locations.
- Drive Technical Acceptance process on Industrial Trials, First of Code & Second of Code in partnership with MRM, TCU & CTAG Leadership.
- Partner with QA on consumer complaints investigation and support Root Cause Analysis by leveraging expert network (PD, TCU, etc.)

Product Development:
- Incorporate consumer insights into winning product ideas
- Lead the development of products from concept through commercialization to meet Marketing Brief and Nestle requirements
- Ensure product performance at the Factory through trials and qualification process
- Plans for success, anticipating issues and mitigating impact of issues proactively
- Perform all activites with a Safety First mindset and challenge unsafe conditions
- Set SLED study parameters, evaluation process and resolution to non-complaint parameters (stability, nutrional delivery, quality attributes, etc) Knowledge Transfer:
- Provide working equipment/product knowledge guidance and support to the Factory/R&D/Engineering resources during the development of new technology and processes
- Provide guidance to operations during non-ideal process situations and is involved in the resolution process

Building Capability:
- Represents TAG in general conversations as a subject matter expert on manufacturing finished product
- Participate and/or lead cross-functional teams to address renovation, consumer complaints and productivity opportunities
- Lead or participate in GSTD, may participate in DMAIC and other complex problem solving.
Experience & Education Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years Consumer Packaged Goods (food preferred) product development experience, including
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of technical and manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated ability to get results working with cross functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a cross functional team environment
- Strong focus on achieving individual results and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo to generate innovation
- Participation in Consumer Research (focus, groups, CLTs, or other consumer research)
- Prior Operations/Factory experience (any area)
- GSTD Certification/DMAIC participation
- Technical Project Management experience
- Technical lead on medium complexity projects
- Understanding of product development process from concept through commercialization
- Influence and contribute to R&D led project
- Thorough understanding of Quality By Design
The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000.00 to $110,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
