As a Lead Carpenter, you’ll maintain and construct facility components, including equipment, systems and structures in and around Nestlé Purina Main Campus and Purina Farms buildings. You will direct internal and external efforts to complete maintenance and construction work related to the campus exterior, building exterior (i.e. building exterior, roofs, windows), roads, parking lots (concrete and asphalt), park (i.e. ponds, bridges), sidewalks, covered walkways, fencing and exterior signage.
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $43.21. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. - Plan and assign work to internal and external crews
- Review progress of work in assigned areas, provide assistance and guidance, ensuring completion of work
- Coordinate work with Site Services Maintenance Department, understanding and compensating for customer requirements and priorities
- Assist in ongoing preparation and maintenance developing standards related to job plans and materials inventory based on industry best practices
- Assist in budget development and monitors ongoing costs
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- 6 years of relevant commercial carpentry experience
- Staging, rigging and scaffolding experience and/or certification is preferred
- 2 years of experience in commercial roofing with TPO, EPDM, Ballasted, Metal, etc. is preferred
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed is preferred
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements necessary, such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, to meet the expectations of job assignments
