This is a contract position providing services to Nestlé in the USA through a third-party staffing services organization. If you are selected for this role, you will be an employee of a third-party staffing partner and not Nestlé in the USA.
THIS IS A 3 MONTH SHORT TERM, SUMMER POSITION- IDEAL FOR STUDENTS IN SEARCH OF TEMPORARY WORK- NO POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION.
**Ideal candidate is local to St. Louis as the worker must be onsite Monday-Friday. Relocation/Housing payments will not be provided.**

Provide support to the Safety Health and Environmental function within the areas of compliance for St. Louis Research and Development locations and St. Louis Pilot Plant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Support continuous improvement of the Safety Health and Environmental functions with Research and Development.
2. Develop and provide safety related training programs, including OSHA required training.
3. Support compliance with Corporate Safety Policies and OSHA Regulations, including compliance with OHSAS 18001 Safety Management System.
4. Assist in analyzing equipment installation efforts and recommending safety improvements.
5. Review and development of energy control procedures to support the Lockout Tagout program.
6. Review onsite chemicals and update chemical database.
7. Participate and contribute as a member of cross-functional teams as assigned.
8. Travel as necessary
9. Practice safety in the work area
10. Additional duties as assigned
- Support SHE function with all areas of the organization.
- Develop working relationships with all areas of the organization.
- Working toward or have obtained a B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health or similar degree
- Must have a basic working knowledge of OSHA Standards and their requirements.
- Good sense of business/technical interrelationships
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to manage multiple projects/priorities
- Good organizational skills
- Computer literacy
- Pro-active/Self-Starter
- Manufacturing experience within a production facility.
