About the Role:
Purina is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Vet Technical Communications Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between veterinary professionals and our sales, marketing, and veterinary communications teams. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing programs that enhance veterinary technician engagement and advocacy.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and veterinary communications teams to develop a “Nutrition Ambassador Program” for vet clinics, with a strong focus on vet tech engagement.
- Program Implementation: Implement Nutrition Ambassador program training at key clinics in collaboration with vet sales teams.
- Strategic Evaluation: Evaluate the strategic importance of a formal Purina Veterinary Tech School Program and provide recommendations.
- Outreach and Advocacy: Assist VET marketing with veterinary technician outreach, advocacy, and programming to strengthen relationships and promote Purina's initiatives.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Active CVT, LVT licensure (or equivalent). A bachelor's degree is not required.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of practice experience and/or 2 years of industry experience.
- Additional Certification: Certification in nutrition is a plus.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proven track record in program development and implementation.
- Passion for veterinary medicine and nutrition.

The approximate hourly pay range for this position is $24-$28/hour. Please note that the pay rate provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
