POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing Foresight team, within our Commercial Excellence function that brings together capabilities across our marketing and commercial teams to engage with consumers throughout their journey and generate demand across categories.


In this role, you will contribute to building a world class foresight capability, placing the changing needs and behaviors of consumers at the center of decision-making to drive business growth and bold bet innovation. Our Trends & Foresight Analyst will play a critical role in understanding emerging consumer trends and data-driven insights to unlock growth opportunities and guide strategic business decisions. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Consumer Trend Scanning & Insights to Action

  • Leverage AI-Enabled tools and market research to continuously monitor emerging trends, consumer behavior shifts, and growth drivers to generate meaningful insights across the market landscape
  • Partner closely with foresight, data analytics and social intelligence leads to develop & customize high-impact insight-based recommendations to guide business decisions across the Nestle enterprise
  • Deliver a regular drumbeat of inspiring consumer trends & foresight to illuminate the future and guide strategic outcomes across various stakeholders

Commercial Strategy & Activation

  • Lead project management across share outs, ideation sessions and alignment with division insights leaders to activate the work across core Growth Pillars (Innovation, Brand Building, Portfolio Strategy, Customer Leadership)
  • Prepare, present and sell-in strategic recommendations based on trend analysis and foresight to support business planning and decision-making to senior management, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders
  • Serve as the connection point to collaborate across the center for demand generation to deeply embed the future trends framework into industry reports, strategic planning, category stories, and customer engagements

Champion a Culture of Curiosity & Foresight

  • Serve as a culture ambassador to champion the power of foresight with, growing what-if mindsets, consumer empathy/understanding, and decision making through thought leadership
  • Elevates Nestle’s understanding of the consumer of tomorrow and integrate value of foresight with learning materials and resources to motivate and upskill the broader organization
  • Stay updated with the latest tools, technologies, and methodologies in market research, foresight and trends analysis to enable best practices and disruptive thinking

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of marketing research, marketing analytics, or brand management experience
  • Basic financial understanding of tying information back to business results
  • Consumer packaged goods company preferred
  • Candidate must possess a strong drive for results with a passion for the consumer and marketing

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Market Research, Economics, Psychology, or Sociology or equivalent degree required

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • General knowledge of marketing fundamentals, marketing research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative), tools and trend resources
    • Knowledge of social intelligence tools (e.g. Talkwalker, Nichefire) or syndicated data (POS/Panel) is a plus
  • Passion for understanding the world, food & beverage trends, and cultural/ human truths
  • Track record of top performance with an entrepreneurial “can do” attitude
  • Proactive self-starter who can navigate ambiguity, new projects and challenges with a growth mindset and creative approach
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with the ability to connect the dots across multiple data sources and findings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience in the creation of persuasive PowerPoint decks to “tell the why behind the what story,” with an eye for building visually compelling narratives
  • Leverage excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders without direct authority and challenge existing processes
