The Diversity and Inclusion Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive workplace culture at Nestle USA. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies and overseeing Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to ensure that all employees feel valued, respected, and included. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) and experience in managing communication initiatives and ERGs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and support of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), ensuring they align with the company's Inclusion & Belonging goals and objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to ERG leaders, helping them to plan and execute events, programs, and initiatives that promote inclusion and belonging.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and ERG activities, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to promote inclusion initiatives and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging.
- Utilize storytelling techniques to create compelling narratives that resonate with employees and stakeholders, fostering a deeper understanding of Inclusion issues and initiatives.
- Prepare content for internal communications, including newsletters, presentations, and social media, to promote inclusion efforts and engage employees.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Inclusion & Belonging best practices and provide training and resources to employees and leaders.
- Partner with HR and other departments to integrate inclusion principles into all aspects of the employee experience, from recruitment and onboarding to development and retention.
- Stay current on Inclusion & Belonging trends and best practices and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement in the company's DE&I efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in DE&I, HR, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing DE&I communication strategies and managing ERGs.
- Strong understanding of DE&I principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace culture.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience working in a large, complex organization.
- Certification in DE&I or related fields.
