The Sr. Customer Account Specialist is directly responsible for supporting our Costco NPWB business representing over $300MM.This is a unique opportunity to support our biggest customer for NWPB to drive category growth and achieve annual sales & commercial spend targets. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and empowered to take initiative and proactively resolve business issues that arise with minimal direction. The ideal candidate demonstrates very strong analytical skills (Costco CRX preferred), moves with speed & agility to learn quickly and adapt as the business evolves.
Location : The ideal candidate will be located in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities :
- Drive category growth and achieve annual sales and commercial spend targets.
- Develop category driving business plans such as new item presentations, 4P focused initiatives, and other customer presentations.
- Where appropriate, support in Business Planning tools through proper distribution tracking, promotion administration, forecasting, and deduction management.
- Partner with CMI to transform shopper insights into action
- Partner with the Data and Reporting team to transform 4Ps analytics and insights into action.
- Effectively manage commercial spend to achieve sales volume goals and trade spend goals, including administration, record keeping, tracking and follow-up
- Collaborate with Sales Finance Manager on financial reconciliation on a monthly basis
- Responsible for timely and effective communication of customer / category and forecast information
- For customer presentations, develop / customize category plan based selling stories regarding assortment, new items, pricing, promotions, display / merchandising tactics, analyses and plans.
- Actively ensure effective communication with Commercial Development - discuss hot topics, educate cross functionals on consumption / supply / competition
- Proactively collaborate with Supply Chain partners to resolve inventory issues
- Provide supply updates to support Costco MVMs as well as forecast BD SKUs
- Conduct post promotion analysis on MVMs, TPDs, BSEs
- Work with Costco.com & Nestle to implement strong Omni plans - test / learn, evaluate, share learnings
- Review, assess, and analyze NPW heavy consumption detail by SKU, region, etc.
- Support reporting needs for Monthly Business Reviews - shipments, consumption data to share with division gain / losses
- Conduct pricing analysis - unit velocity vs. ARP understanding baseline vs. promo changes impact
- CD meetings - attend to
- Owns and updates ADL / Distribution list and changes
