The Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise data governance frameworks using Microsoft Purview.
This role ensures data compliance, security, and visibility across an organization by leveraging data cataloging, classification, lineage tracking, and access controls.
Key responsibilities include:
Implementing Data Governance Policies Establishing governance standards for data discovery, protection, and lifecycle management.
Managing Data Cataloging & Classification Using Microsoft Purview to classify and label data assets for better control and compliance.
Ensuring Regulatory Compliance Enforcing GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and other regulatory requirements through Purview s compliance tools.
Data Lineage & Risk Management Tracking data movement across hybrid environments and mitigating security risks.
Stakeholder Collaboration Working with data stewards, IT, and compliance teams to ensure effective governance and data democratization.
