Supply Chain Coordinator
Job Type: Full-Time, Non-exempt
Pay: Hourly, Biweekly
Organizational Structure: Reports to the Purchasing Manager
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM with a half-hour lunch or 5 PM with an hour lunch. This position requires 40 hours a week depending on workload.

Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Order Management - Oversee the lifecycle of purchase orders, from initiation to product reception in the warehouse. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders.
- Supplier Communication - Serve as the direct point of contact for suppliers, managing all communications related to payments, shipments, and time issues concerning containers and products. Initiate and facilitate payments to suppliers in accordance with established terms.
- Financial Administration: Initiate, track, and manage all payments made to suppliers, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Organize and file documents related to payments and credits from existing suppliers.
- Shipping Logistics: Arrange transportation and coordinate shipments with shipping lines and carriers to ensure timely delivery. Evaluate and make informed decisions on ship dates and locations for containers, optimizing efficiency and adherence to company goals. Restructure current container orders to align with evolving company goals and timelines.
- Documentation and Record Keeping Maintain accurate records of shipments and transactions. Verify shipping documents for completeness and accuracy. Work closely with customs brokers to ensure the timely preparation and submission of customs documentation.
- Risk Management Problem Resolution Stay informed about changes in the logistics market and update processes accordingly. Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain and implement contingency plans to address unexpected issues. Address and resolve any issues related to shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or inventory management preferred
- Understanding of domestic and international logistics (strongly preferred), warehousing, transportation, and inventory management
- Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Experience in Salesforce is preferable, but not required.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data and optimize supply chain performance
- Positive, proactive attitude with a strong drive to succeed.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
