Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings with precision.
- Process audio recordings, adhering to established style guides to produce accurate verbatim transcripts.
- Maintain acute attention to detail in order to accurately interpret spoken content, ensuring clarity and reliability in all transcripts.
- Proven experience in legal transcription, especially in relation to court reporting or scoping.
- Exceptional listening abilities and adherence to deadlines and specific client style guidelines.
- Strong literacy skills, encompassing comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
- Proficiency in typing speed and accuracy, with the capability to handle sensitive audio/text content.
- Familiarity with legal terminology is essential, and court reporting students are also encouraged to apply.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Candidates must possess significant experience in legal transcription.
- Background in the legal environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
