Position Overview :
As an O.R. Scrub Tech, you will play a vital role in the operating room by assisting the surgical team with instrument preparation and maintaining aseptic techniques throughout procedures. You will ensure all surgical supplies and equipment are properly assembled and ready for use, contributing to the efficiency and safety of each procedure.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assemble and prepare supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
- Set up and maintain sterile instrument tables.
- Monitor aseptic techniques, ensuring no breaches occur.
- Position patients according to the type of surgery being performed.
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Prepare equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
- Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as necessary.
