Job Description
Job Summary:
- Assists in the professional management of the facility medical department.
- Apply appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of inmates/residents.
- Attend sick calls with the physician to see inmates/residents; prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined.
- Prepare the examination room and equipment. Operate pill call, dispense medication and document as required by applicable policies and/or procedures.
- Control medication, syringes and other medical supplies or equipment and inventory as required by established procedures.
- Perform emergency procedures as needed. Keep equipment and work area clean; utilize appropriate sanitation methods.
- Document and report activities in accordance with established policies and/or procedures including medical file documentation.
- LPN License in the state of Practice or Compact License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS); AHA is highly preferred.
- One year’s LPN experience is required.
- Long-Term Care experience is highly preferred.
- Must be IV Certified.
- Must have experience with PCC.
Salary : $38 - $42
