Job title: Manufacturing Site Training and Support Consultant /Infor LN and Baan IV
Onsite: Base location is La Grange/Chicago, IL and Desire candidate should be willing to travel all business Locations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement training for all levels within the site facility.
- Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts (IT) in training development and delivery.
- Learn a new inhouse platform to conduct training sessions for site users on regular basis.
- Prepare training manuals and extensive checklist to train users at existing or new sites.
- Understand and document business user requirements, issues, and report back to IT team for further actions.
- Engage and interact with site users to coordinate troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Guide users to follow standard procedures across sites and advise adjustments where required.
- Assist IT team to implement the platform at new sites.
- For end users, be a IT point of contact for the platform.
- Provide technical support and guidance to maintain records (data entry) in the platform.
- Make recommendations of perceived solutions to potential problem areas and methods for improvement
- Maintain records of all internal and external partners to ensure smooth coordination of training times and spaces.
- Provide ad hoc procedural supervision, particularly during new program and staff onboarding phases.
- Assist with live monitoring of learning.
- Assist with analyzing pretest, post-test and evaluation data.
- Assist management with training matrices and training plans to include development and maintenance.
- Experience in working with nearshore/offshore team to enter data/ user feedback into the platform and resolve issues.
- Ready for extensive travel across all Progress rail sites - IN, KY, NC & GA
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CIS, MIS or related Technology field preferred
- Extensive knowledge of Manufacturing (execution system), Warehouse inventory management
- Understanding of ERP systems – preferably Infor LN
- Understanding of web applications
- Comfortable with using various mobile devices.
- Computer proficiency; Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
- Project management – manages multiple, complex projects.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills
