Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Duration: 18 Months Contract (Possible Extension)
Location: Mossville IL
Pay rate: $40-$47 an hour on W2
Summary:
The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
Job Responsibilities:
• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to the maintenance crew.
• Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software
Education & Experience Required:
- Associate’s degree in related field plus minimum 10 years experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Mechanical Engineering curriculum plus 5 years of experience OR
- Master's or Doctorate degree in a Mechanical Engineering curriculum plus 2 years of experience
Technical Skills

Previous product development experience (design / analysis)
(Desired)
- Experience with CFD & FEA analysis tools
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical & electrical systems with special emphasis on electric drive systems
- Experience with quality tools including FMEA, APQP, BIQ & PPAP
- Experience with NPI Issue resolution process
Soft Skills
