Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the radiology department, ensuring appropriate staffing and efficient workflow
- Monitor and support team performance, focusing on quality assurance, accuracy of procedures, and patient safety
- Coordinate and prioritize patient flow; manage procedure response times and shift workloads as needed
- Oversee image quality, assist with complex imaging procedures, and serve as a technical resource to the team
- Facilitate staff training, continuing education, and regular departmental meetings
- Maintain employee documentation, including time tracking, attendance, performance records, and evaluations
- Perform administrative duties related to scheduling, payroll reporting, inventory, and equipment maintenance
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and promote a culture of excellence in patient care
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (AMA-approved)
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
- Certification in mammography is required or must be obtained
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a radiology or imaging setting is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage both clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced environment
