Job Title: RN Manager, Emergency Room
Location: Richmond, VA
Compensation: $43.10 - $61.57 per hour, based on experience
Shift: Full-time, Evening (3p-11p) or Night (11p-7a)
Overview:
We are a 466-bed acute care hospital providing world-class cardiovascular care, trauma services, mental health support, and more. We are currently seeking an experienced RN Manager for our Emergency Room to ensure that our patients receive exceptional care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Job Summary:
As the RN Manager for the Emergency Room, you will oversee unit operations in the absence of the Director, manage resources, and support a team of nurses to ensure high-quality patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to excellence in emergency services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate daily operations in the Emergency Room.
- Ensure staffing and resources are appropriate based on workload demands.
- Contribute to the development, review, and revision of unit standards.
- Assist in the hiring, training, and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Ensure staff compliance with licensure, competencies, and mandatory training.
- Support the orientation and ongoing development of new employees, students, and volunteers.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective patient care and a positive experience.
Requirements:
- Required: Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program.
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA.
- American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications (or the ability to obtain them within specified timelines).
- MUST HAVE ER MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE.
