Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our dynamic medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures under physician supervision while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role plays a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care through precise imaging techniques and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and department protocols.
- Analyze and interpret sonographic data, ensuring image quality for accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, troubleshooting any technical issues.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, providing clear instructions and support.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and medical staff to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3-6 months of Sonographer experience (Acute care experience not required).
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or ARRT (S) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Registered Vascular Technician (RVT), Vascular Sonography, or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification required within 1 year of employment.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Shift: Nights (Thursday – Sunday, 9 PM – 7 AM) with rotating weekends.
- On-call rotation required (details discussed during the interview).
- Work alongside a collaborative imaging team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
