We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Global Procurement Director to lead and manage the global procurement function of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing global procurement strategies, optimizing cost efficiencies, ensuring supplier performance, and supporting the company's overall business objectives. This position will work closely with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and external suppliers to drive value creation through strategic sourcing, risk management, and sustainable procurement practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Global Procurement Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute a global procurement strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead the global procurement team in identifying cost-saving opportunities, enhancing procurement processes, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Leading the procurement strategy at the global operation division, policies, processes and structure. (GMAT)
- Supplier Management & Relationship Building:
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
- Oversee the negotiation and management of contracts with global suppliers to drive value, mitigate risks, and enhance supplier performance.
- Cost Management & Optimization:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities across Netafim and within Orbia, and implement cost-reduction initiatives with keeping quality and level of service.
- Develop and monitor procurement KPIs, track performance, and report cost savings and procurement results to senior management.
- Optimize payment terms across the organization - conduct a comprehensive audit of existing payment terms with all suppliers, develop suppliers' segmentation strategy, and negotiate favorable payment terms ensuring extended payment days or securing early payment discounts
- Risk & Compliance Management:
- Ensure global procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards of Orbia.
- Proactively assess and mitigate risks within the procurement processes.
- inventory levels:
- Establish a procurement framework that prioritizes optimal inventory levels, focusing on real-time inventory levels and demand
- Establish key performance indicators to measure the impact of procurement decisions on inventory levels
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, global procurement team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the procurement function.
- Lead the global procurement professional community
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments such as finance, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, legal, logistics and more, to align procurement initiatives with business needs.
- Work closely with senior management to provide strategic insights and support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with Orbia BG`s procurement teams.
- Market Intelligence & Supplier Innovation:
- Monitor global market trends, economic conditions, and emerging supplier capabilities to inform procurement decisions.
- Drive innovation through the identification of new suppliers, technologies, and sourcing methods that improve business outcomes.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience:
- Proven experience of at least 10 years as Head of procurement, in a global matrix organization and environment.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex procurement activities across multiple geographies.
- Bachelor’s/MA/MBA degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Advantage relevant experience in the AG or plastics industry or equivalent.
- Leadership & Strategic Thinking:
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide leadership in a global, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership on company-wide initiatives.
- Cultural Sensitivity & Global Mindset:
- Ability to work effectively with teams, suppliers, and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of procurement strategies, global supply chains, and supplier management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate a diverse, high-performing team.
- Expertise in procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze costs, budgets, and profitability.
- Certifications (preferred but not required):
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), or similar certifications are a plus.
