What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Netcare Corp.?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Maintains building interior; cleaning bathroom areas such as toilets, partitions, sinks and mirrors; mopping bathroom floors; emptying trash; sweeping of offices and hallway floors, and daily cleaning of staff break room, and other areas as indicated on the company cleaning schedules.
- Provides periodic cleaning of tile floors, walls, and common area surfaces as needed.
- Maintains building accessibility and appearance by picking up paper and trash; sweeping entrance ways and washing windows.
- Maintains upkeep on doors, windows, walls, steps, etc.
- Monitors Netcare properties to identify problems and reports to Maintenance Supervisor.
- Performs minor electrical repairs ( e.g. bulbs, lighting fixtures switches, outlet).
- Performs minor repairs of plumbing fixtures or system.
- Performs general maintenance of grounds (lawn care, watering, limb removal).
- Transports office equipment and furnishings from one Netcare property to another, and/or from one office to another.
- Provides on-call services as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of basic electrical wiring and plumbing.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in the safe operation of hand and power tools.
- Skill in use of lawn equipment.
- Knowledge of floor care and use of floor care equipment.
- Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and walk a majority of the work time.
- Ability to achieve and maintain certification in required training programs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
One year experience in maintenance, repair and janitorial work.
