TITLE: Forensic Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow CLASSIFICATION: Ph.D./Psy.D.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for assisting in the completion of court-ordered criminal forensic mental health evaluations of adults and juveniles referred by the criminal division of the Common Pleas system, including but not limited to competency to stand trial, mental status at the time of the offense, intervention in lieu of conviction, and juvenile competency. Has well-developed clinical assessment skills, including use of forensic assessment instruments, psychological testing, and report writing. Carries out responsibilities under the supervision of the Director of Forensic & Specialized Assessment Services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in conducting court-ordered forensic mental health assessments of individuals referred by the criminal and civil court systems.
- Prepares comprehensive draft reports for the assigned forensic examiner in time for final report to be submitted within statutory timeframes.
- Assists in providing services for outpatient competency restoration and attainment programs.
- Maintains timely and complete documentation of services and activities that meet the standards of Netcare and accrediting agencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of the theories and principles of clinical and forensic psychology, clinical assessment, and diagnosis.
- Knowledge of psychological testing principles and practices.
- Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing, analyzing and interpreting data.
- Ability to write comprehensive and integrative draft reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with others.
- Exhibits flexibility and ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in alternate locations as assigned.
- Knowledge of criminal and civil justice system and pertinent Ohio Revised Code, Ohio Administrative Code, and OhioMHAS rules regarding the delivery of forensic services.
- Demonstrated experience and/or training in substance abuse disorder assessment and/or treatment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be license-eligible with a doctoral degree in psychology. Prior forensic assessment experience preferred. Demonstrated experience and/or training in substance abuse disorder assessment and/or treatment.
